The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a good option if you're looking to buy a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It's got a fantastic mopping capability, but it lacks some of the advanced features that are found in its more expensive counterpart.
In tests, it was able to handle dust and dry oats on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard flooring. It doesn't use LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do to locate your home.
Roomba s9+ iRobot from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and numerous features such as the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The robot also learns your habits of cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once the system is setup you can begin the automatic cleaning with a single button. You can choose the general clean option, which prioritizes the removal of larger pieces of debris like rice and cereal. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that your entire home is cleaned thoroughly.
This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It can remove pet hair and clean large items up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot promises it will improve in the future with new models.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it to be able to hug furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be incrementally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with a superior filtration system that blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating in your home. It's a nice claim, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price price.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and establish virtual boundary markers, so it is aware of areas that need extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on higher-end models. Its mopping system is better because its spinning pads scrub floors more effectively than the vibrating pads.
The only issue is the absence of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. However, that's not a problem when you're looking to purchase one of the best robots available. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than its competitors and filling it takes just two or three cycles even when you have maximum dirt.
As for the mopping device, I was amazed with its ability to remove tough dirt from my floors. The two mopping settings that it has that are less powerful than high-powered modes, produce very little noise, so you can work or watch television without being distracted. If it comes into contact with a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it and moves along.
The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that can automatically transfer physical trash into the bin hidden from view and also washes and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is not right like the water tank being empty or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to the bin being full.
You can also create and merge actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo will treat your home. This is a great feature for those who have multiple rooms in your home that have different floor materials or if there's some items that need to be cleaned out frequently, like clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the top performers in my test cleaning up debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first go. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it to.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with a powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, and an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also has an automatic cleaning station that washes and empties the mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also comes with a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.
The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet high and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that can be used even when you're at home. It also comes with additional mopping modes as well as an intelligent routing feature which allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead just following a set path.
The Omni Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested, because of its rotating mop pads that clean tough stains away and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well, and it boosts suction when it senses carpet to ensure it's doing a thorough job. It is equipped with a large, rechargeable battery that lasts up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also powerful.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality robot vacuum and mop that comes with a host of convenience features that you aren't likely to find on robots of this price range. It is able to create detailed floor maps and detect different flooring types. It's also among the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. While these features are nice to have, they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury which could make it a little more expensive than some homeowners need.
Designed to resemble a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish that's accented by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine features an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front panel, which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that is used as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can shut it off and send it back to its base station. The center of the control panel includes the circular menu which lets you select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons open the app's settings where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck in messy areas. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for families with children or pets.
The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hardwood floors and removing all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops also do a great job in removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. However, it wasn't as effective in removing sand from the floor, or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
