If you need a few extra elden ring runes, there are various strategies you can employ to harvest them in Elden Ring. From early game strategies through late game tactics, here are the most successful techniques for earning more Runes in Elden Ring.
Make use of area-of-effect skills to quickly dispatch of the Albinaurics who patrol this place of grace and kill them quickly; doing so will earn a great haul of runes for your level.
War for Castle Redmane
Elden Ring offers no shortage of elden ring runes, which you can acquire by defeating enemies and collecting dropped items. Unfortunately, if you die twice in quick succession, any Runes you held become lost - something which might not be an issue if saving up Runes for upgrades is at play here.
Elden Ring offers some effective strategies for quickly and reliably earning Runes, such as farming the giant trolls located on Stormhill west of Limgrave - they drop 1,000 runes each, aren't too difficult to kill and make for ideal farming spots early-game players. Couple this strategy with Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot consumable and Golden Scarab Talismans and you will earn Runes quickly. Alternatively, using the Approach Ledge-Road Site of Grace Teleporter to summon Leyndell Knights that give similar rewards - the opportunities are limitless!
War for Fort Faroth
No matter if you're leveling up or completing the Dectus Medallion, Elden Ring offers some excellent rune farming spots. Soldiers and monstrous dogs battle constantly here, providing plenty of opportunity for rune farming at lower levels - if done efficiently enough you could quickly amass 40,000 runes every 2-3 minutes simply by heading back to the Site of Grace after each battle battle has concluded!
Once at the Site of Grace, ride your horse uphill toward Castle Redmane. At the top is a group of Albinauric soldiers that can easily be shot with an arrow or crossbow bolt; killing each will earn about 2,000 runes that reset almost immediately upon resting back at Grace.
At the end of this path sits a massive sleeping dragon that poses no immediate threat; attacking this gigantic creature could yield over 10,000 runes for your trouble.
War for the Approach Ledge-Road
Elden Ring offers one elden ring runes farming spot that's both risky and highly rewarding if you have reached level 50. Setting it up takes some time, but once done it can yield over 40,000 Runes effortlessly!
Fort Faroth lies just to the north, before the slope leading up to its palace. Here you can look over a cliff and use your bow to strike at flying bird enemies for over 11,000 Runes each time they attack your bowstring.
To perform this action successfully, stand exactly on the edge and aim at the bird's head. When the bird takes flight it will fly towards you before falling off a cliff - this sequence is scripted; but you can repeat it as often as desired to quickly replenish your inventory before facing one of the game's toughest main-story bosses or big optional fights. War for the Sacred Relic Sword
FromSoftware's 2022 Game of the Year winner is expansive, and will require time and dedication to explore fully. However, certain key rune farming locations will make your journey much simpler.
One effective strategy is the Troll Farm, accessible as soon as you unlock Torrent's saddle. Trolls may seem daunting at first, but when killed they provide 1,000 runes each and are relatively simple to kill.
PowerPyx also demonstrated in their video how you can use a gold-pickled fowl foot found at Stormveil's eastern corner to increase rune income by 10% for three minutes at a time.
Once midgame is reached, players can make use of the Sacred Relic Sword; an ancient Greatsword with its default weapon skill being Wave of Gold. This infuses the sword with golden glory from before its destruction while unleashing a wide arc of Holy damage scaling with Strength, Dexterity and Faith respectively.
